Obituary of Linwood E. Beamon

Linwood E. “Jack” Beamon of Monticello, passed away on Sunday, July 11, 2021 at his home at the age of 67.

 

The son of Lillie Irene Beamon Brown and the late Lamb B. Brown, he was born October 28, 1953 in Goldsboro, NC.  Jack installed commercial and residential floors for over 20 years.

 

He is survived by his five children: Linwood Williams (Carmen) of Monticello, Tyrone Beamon (Jennifer) of Delaware, Nina Beamon (Dymond) of Virginia, Crystal Tweed (Pedro of Monticello) and Venus Beamon of Woodbourne; his grandchildren: Ariel, Angelica, Layla, Ashley, Alyssa, Amber, Aaron, Jahseh; his mother: Lillie Irene Brown of North Carolina; a host of close step children and grandchildren: Latasha, Lennon, Indonaija, Rahmel, Cecil and Leajahnae; his siblings: Larry Beamon, Tessa Atkinson, Freda Broadie, Frederica Carter, Felicia Lewis, all of North Carolina, and Fransonia Sellars  of Florida; and his longtime companion and friend of many years Roxann Grove.

 

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 17 from 3:00 to 6:00pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello.  A funeral service will start at approx. 5pm with Pastor Ruth H. Sellers-Ward officiating. Due to our current health crisis, social distancing guidelines must be met - a limited number of people at one time will be allowed in the funeral home, and facemasks are required. 

 

In lieu of flowers or food, memorial contributions can be made to VIK crowd funding to help aid the family with the cost of funeral expenses.
