Harriet L. (Agee) Armstead, an Associate Manager with Wal-Mart and a 44-year former resident of Monticello, died Friday, November 27, 2009 in Gastonia, North Carolina. She was 50.
The granddaughter of the late Shedrick and Malissa Agee (Maternal Grandparents) and Taylor Sr. and Essie Lee Bracy (Paternal Grandparents). She was born November 23, 1959 in Monticello, NY.
She is survived by a son, Darail Armstead of Monticello, NY; Mother, Ruby Underwood and Step-Father, David Underwood, Sr. of Chadbourn, NC; Father, Samuel Bracey of Monticello, NY; two sisters, Patty Agee-Taylor and Tina Agee of Atlanta, GA; two brothers, Tyrone Bracey of Columbia, SC; David Underwood, Jr. of Long Island, NY and one step-brother Jeffrey Snell of Middletown, NY. Several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive her.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2009 from 10 AM to 12 noon at the First Baptist Church, Liberty Street in Monticello. Her funeral service will immediately follow at 12:00 noon with Rev. James Matthews officiating. Burial will follow at the Rock Ridge Cemetery in Monticello.
