Obituary of Lydia Prokosch

Lydia Prokosch of Monticello, a homemaker and longtime resident of the area, died Friday, November 27, 2009 at the Catskill Regional Medical Center in Harris. She was 86.
The daughter of the late Edward Coney and Neita Brundage Coney, she was born January 19, 1923 in Sussex, NJ. She was the widow of Raymond Prokosch who predeceased her in 1975.
Mrs. Prokosch was a lifelong member of the First Church of Monticello, Presbyterian.
She is survived by two daughters: Jeanette Hamilton of Newfoundland, PA and Joyce Bullock of the state of Florida; 15 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by two sons: Douglas Prokosch and Raymond Prokosch; and two brothers: Charles Coney and Arthur Coney Sr..
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 1 from 7-9pm and on Wednesday, December 2 from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello. Her funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 3 at 11:00am at the funeral home with Rev. Dr. Jay Wallace officiating. Burial will follow at the Rock Ridge Cemetery in Monticello.
