Obituary of Ebon Wade Young

Ebon Wade Young was born on January 3, 1990 to Eric and Ann Young at Community General Hospital in Harris. We could hardly wait for our baby brother to come home when he was born.

Ebon was known for his contagious smile. He enjoyed many things such as his workdays painting (the craft daddy taught him) and working with Elliot and Deric was special, but overall, spending time with his sons, Mathew and Jeremiah.  He enjoyed when all his big brothers were home hanging out and telling stories of growing up on Nelshore Drive. The highlight of each day was hugging mommy and telling her he loved her, how beautiful she was and how lucky he was to have her.

Ebon was predeceased by his big brother Elgin, and grandparents: Lee, Eula, Ramon and Hjalmar. He is survived by parents Eric and Ann of Monticello, brothers (and their spouses) Darren (Delores) of Mt. Vernon, Eric (Rose) of Charlotte, NC, Ephfrim (Nikki) of Duarte, CA, Deric (Julie) of Monticello and Elliot (Marisol) of Liberty. Ebon is also survived by his sons Mathew and Jeremiah, their mother Melanie and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and numerous close friends.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects on Saturday May 15th at the Bethlehem Temple Church, 93 Fairground Road in Monticello from 11am to 1pm. A private service will be held later for the family with Pastor Michael Williams officiating. Due to the current health crisis, social distancing guidelines must be met - a limited number of people at one time will be allowed in the funeral home and at the church, and facemasks are required.
