Obituary of George F. Hall

George Francis Hall, a retired employee for the Town of Plattekill Highway Dept. and former resident of Wurtsboro, passed away on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at the Garnet Health Medical Center in Middletown.  He was 79.

 

The son of the late George Hall and Mary Agnes DiPerna Hall, he was born April 16, 1941 in Newburgh.

 

His favorite hobby was fishing. He also loved stopping at yard sales. He had a heart of gold and was always willing to help everyone. He was loved by many and will be missed dearly.

 

He is survived by his three daughters: MaryJane Robisch (Carl) of Ellenville, Denise O’Connor (Tom) of Port Jervis, and Joan Burns (Jamie) of Yulan; grandchildren: Kim, Anthony, Victoria, Richie, Mathew, Craig, Jenna, Sheila & Ryan; great grandchildren: Aidan, Callie, Ardyn, Jackie, Joshua, Bianca, Addison, Owen and Mason; and several nieces, nephews and stepchildren.  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters, Mary Hall Palmer (Mudgie) and Phyllis Humphrey; a son, George Hall Jr., and his wife, Florence.

 

Visitation will be on Saturday, March 13 from 2:00 to 4:00pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny Funeral Home, 111 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro. Due to the current health crisis, social distancing guidelines must be met. A limited number of people at one time will be allowed in the funeral home and face masks are required.
