Obituary of Marlene M. Brasington

Marlene M. “Molly” Brasington a lifelong resident of Wurtsboro and retired Weighmaster for the Sullivan County DPW, passed away on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at the Adult Care Center at Sunset Lake in Liberty.  She was 80.

 

The daughter of the late Benjamin Wright and Jessie Green Wright, she was born October 14, 1940 in Wurtsboro.  She was the widow of Wayne Brasington who predeceased her on August 13, 2015.

 

She is survived by a daughter: Marlene Cirone & her husband Joseph; three grandchildren: Nicole (Tim) Mongin, Cassandra (Joseph) Babcock, and Cono (Renee) Cirone; and five great grandchildren: Adam, Molly, Alex, Isabella and Benjamin. She was predeceased by three brothers: Victor, Benjamin and Wayne.

 

Family and friends are invited to gather on Wednesday, March 10 from 2:00 to 4:00pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 111 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro with a funeral service starting at 4pm at the funeral home. Due to the current health crisis, social distancing guidelines must be met - a limited number of people at one time will be allowed in the funeral home, and facemasks are required

 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Ellenville Regional Hospital or to the Adult Care Center at Sunset Lake in Liberty.
