Obituary of Pamela Lea Parisi

Pamela “Pam” Lea Parisi a long time resident of Wurtsboro, NY and resident of Sumter, SC since 2012, entered into eternal rest in her home on the morning of November 12th, 2020 after battling stage 4 metastatic breast cancer for 18 years. She was born on September 5, 1969 in Middletown, NY to Fredericka Gutekunst-Harding and the late Hobart D. Harding. She loved her children, grandchildren, and family very much, and was brave and strong during her battle with cancer. She loved helping others and especially enjoyed working at Shop Rite, and New Hope Community in Monticello, NY. She was an inspiration to others in that she devoted her life to serving others and God while battling cancer.

She is survived by her mother Fredericka Harding of Wurtsboro, NY, husband Louis Parisi of Sumter, SC, brother Thomas Nolan and his wife Susan of Kerhonkson, NY, daughter Amanda Case and her husband Adam of Eubank, KY, daughter Alyscha DeLuca and her fiancée Justin Tompkins of Neversink, NY, and daughter Melissa Parisi of Sumter, SC. Pam is also survived by her much loved grandchildren, Austin, Trystan, Cameron, Logan, Brayden, Aaliyah, Jasmine, and Emma, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

We want to say a special thank you to Dr. Dinsmore and his nurses in New York and Dr. Kellogg and his nurses in South Carolina. They were the best people and took great care of Pam, she was always happy to have their support and uplifting spirits.

Memorial services were held at the Church of the Nazarene in Sumter, SC.  Burial will be in New York at a later date.

She wishes in lieu of flowers for donations to be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
