Obituary of Peter Antonio Tejada
Peter Antonio Tejada, a former audio/video engineer for Monticello Raceway, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, December 4, 2020.
Peter loved to laugh. When he entered a room, he brought with him a positive energy that filled the room with an expectation of Joy and smiles. Never boring, he had a deep love for people, music, dancing, movies, games, good food and the outdoors. He was a man full of jokes and card tricks. We will think of him whenever we try to solve riddles or sit down to work on a jigsaw puzzle. No one could tell a story like Pete. He would captivate his audience with details and laughter. Known to many as “TV Pete” he was a wizard with repairing electronics, computers and cars and spent much of his free time doing just that. Above all, he loved his children and grandchildren and always spoke highly of them. His friends are numerous and his love for God continued to grow stronger. Whether you called him Dad, Grandpa, Gumpa, Papa Peter, Great Grandpa, Uncle, Brother, Significant other, Best friend, Soulmate, or TV Pete, we have so much to remember. Full of fun and full of kindness for others, he leaves all of us with amazing and beautiful memories.
Ecclesiastes 2:24 says [There is] nothing better for a man, that he should eat and drink, and he should make his soul enjoy good in his labour. This also I saw, that it [was] from the hand of God.

He is survived by his companion, Brenda Nelson; his children: Traci Porter, Miguel Cruz & his wife Melonie, Eve Cruz, Amanda Tejada and her mother Marie Davall; his grandchildren which he raised Brianna Cruz and Marie Cruz, many stepchildren, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; his siblings: Aida Maria Tejada, Claudio Maria Tejada and Josefa Corsino Tejada; and his lifelong best friend, Ishmael “Mikey” Trinidad.
