Carolyn "Carol" Hilliard, a certified nursing assistant, passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2020 at her home in Monticello surrounded by her family.  She was 61.
 

The daughter of the late James Hilliard and Rebecca Floyd Hilliard, she was born on July 17, 1959 in Jersey City, NJ.
She is survived by her children: Lakenya Hilliard (Quanne), Gregory Hilliard (Jessica), Tyrese Hilliard and Jasmine Collier; eight grandchildren: Latiqua, Latique, Kyana, Akiyah, Kyone, Jessie, Kaniah and Lyric; her siblings: James Hilliard (Esie), Donna Hilliard, Harold Hilliard, Janet Hilliard, Barbara Hilliard and Ethel Johnson (Herman); and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

 

Visitation will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, July 7th at the VanInwegen-Kenny Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello. Burial will be held at the Rosehill Cemetery in Linden, NJ on Wednesday, July 15th. Due to the current health crisis, social distancing guidelines must be met - a limited number of people at one time will be allowed in the funeral home and at the cemetery, and facemasks are required.
