Obituary of Helen Emma Paffenroth

Helen E. Seitz Paffenroth of Godeffroy, a homemaker and lifelong resident of the area, died Saturday, August 22, 2009 at Bon Secours Community Hospital in Port Jervis. She was 70.The daughter of the late Edwin Stevens and Lula Sullivan White, she was born December 8, 1938 in Eldred. She was the widow of both Charles Seitz and Robert Paffenroth.Helen was a member of the Amityville Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary; the Wallkill Council No. 92 - Jr. O.U.A.M. and was an avid bingo player.She is survived by five daughters: Deborah (Jim) Webb of Wilkes Barre, PA, Michelle (Toby) Smith of Willow Spring, NC, Cheryl Santise (Jeff McAdams) of Godeffroy, Rhonda (Tom) Poe-Goodrich of Cuddebackville and Brenda Williams of Port Jervis; three sons: Charles (Karen) Seitz Jr. of Godeffroy, Richard (Patti) Seitz of Afton and Martin (Kelly) Seitz of New Jersey; 26 grandchildren; 49 great grandchildren; a sister: Betty (Frank) Benson of Augusta, WV; two nephews; and her dearly beloved dogs: Willy, Molly, Buddy and Ruby."We all love you mommy - job well done."Visitation will be held on Monday, August 24 from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 111 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro. Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 25 at 11:00am at the funeral home.
