Eva Marie Stanton Egusquiza, a bus driver for Rolling V Bus Company and lifelong resident of the area, died Saturday, June 6, 2009 at her home in Monticello. She was 58. The daughter of the late Irving Stanton and Marie Whipple Houston, she was born October 20, 1950 in Liberty. Eva was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Loch Sheldrake and the Monticello Elk's Lodge #1544. She is survived by her husband: Leo R. Egusquiza of Monticello; two daughters: Elisa Williams of Monticello and Marie Armstrong & her husband Michael of Greenwich, CT; six grandchildren: Anthony, Kimberly, Kayla, Ethan, Brianna and Nicolette; three brothers: Preston Stanton, Chester Stanton and Vincent Stanton; four sisters: Elaine Seinze, Angel Stewart, Valerie Stanton and Belinda Houston; several nieces & nephews; and her dog: Gizmo. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a son: Leo Egusquiza; two brothers: Irving and Leo Stanton; and two sisters: Evelyn Forshay and Inda Sherman. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 9 from 5:00 to 7:00pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello. Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday evening at 7:00pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the Calvary Baptist Church or the Monticello Elk's Lodge.
