Obituary of Dinesh K. Shah

Dinesh K. Shah of Wurtsboro, a local businessman and longtime resident of the area, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at the ORMC -Horton Campus in Middletown. He was 50. The son of the late Kanubhai and Vimla Shah, he was born May 4, 1959 in Baroda, India. In addition to owning several area businesses, Dinesh was a member of the Mamakating First Aid Squad and the Wurtsboro Fire Dept. He was also a former councilman for the Town of Mamakating and a former commissioner for the Wurtsboro Fire District. He is survived by his wife: Ila D. Shah; a son: Jiten Shah; and a daughter: Payal Shah, all at home; a sister: Panna Shah of Monroe; a brother-in-law: Bharat "Bob" Shah of Middletown; a sister-in-law: Vina Shah of Middletown; nephews: Jigar Shah and Pragnesh Shah; and niece: Mital Shah. His funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 23 at 10:00am at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 111 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro. Family and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:00am until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Mamakating First Aid Squad, P.O. Box 525, Wurtsboro, NY 12790 or the Wurtsboro Fire Dept., P.O. Box 442, Wurtsboro, NY 12790.
