Terrence Francis Moriarty, beloved son, brother and uncle, passed away on April 5, 2009 in Lake Worth, FL. He was 53. The son of the late Terrence Patrick Moriarty and the late Kathleen Ann Toomey Moriarty, he was born May 16, 1955 in Queens. A voracious reader and enthusiastic outdoorsman with a passion for adventure, Terry was a graduate of Monticello High School, Class of 1976. A former boy scout, and altar server for St. Thomas Aquinas Church and St. Joseph's Church in Forestburgh, he will always be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor. He leaves behind his loving sisters: Maina Caul of Tyler Hill, PA, Laura Moriarty Jones & her husband Francis of Monticello, and Elizabeth Ryan & her husband John of Fredericksburg, VA; and eight nieces and nephews: Sara Caul of Tyler Hill, PA, Stacey and Ryan Jones of Monticello and Kyle, Sean, Kevin, Patrick and Kathleen Ryan of Fredericksburg, VA. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a younger brother: Ryan Stephen Moriarty, age 13. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, September 19 at 10:00am at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Forestburgh Road in Forestburgh. Interment will immediately follow in St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery in Forestburgh. Arrangements under the direction of the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home of Monticello.
