Charles A. Ketcham, a retired truck driver for Rupp Southern Tier passed away on Monday, April 13, 2009, at the Sullivan Co. Adult Care Center in Liberty. He was 83. The son of the late Abijah Ketcham and Marguerite Unkenholz Ketcham, he was born February 11, 1926 in Monticello, NY. Charlie loved his farm, family and chatting with his friends at the diner. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Elizabeth Thomas Ketcham; two sons, Charles "Litt" Ketcham & his wife, Josephine of Monticello and Evan Ketcham & his wife, Barbara of Monticello; four grandchildren: Melinda & her husband, Josh, Shane, Kelley and Marcy, and his dog, Bonnie. Family and friends are invited to gather at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 18, with a Funeral Service at 12:30 p.m. The Rev. Roy Schaffer will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Rock Ridge Cemetery in Monticello. Memorial contributions may be made to the Rock Hill Church of the Nazarene, Katrina Falls Rd., Rock Hill, NY 12775.
