Obituary of Beverly Joy Flickman

Beverly Joy Flickman of Wurtsboro, a retired seamstress for General Sportswear in Ellenville, died Monday, March 23, 2009 at the Ellenville Community Hospital in Ellenville. She was 72.The daughter of Marie Smith Distel and the late Bernard F. Distel, she was born July 2, 1936 in Wurtsboro.Beverly is survived by her husband Richard P. Flickman at home; her mother: Marie Distel of Lake Katrine; a son Michael Flickman & his wife Joanne of Monroe, CT; two daughters: Debbie Zurrow & her husband Richard of Ardsley and Darlene Baron & her husband Steve of Bayside; a brother Bernard "Butch" Distel & his wife Betty of Napanoch; a sister: Shirley Miller & her husband George of Napanoch; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 25 from 12-2pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 111 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro. Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday afternoon at 2pm at the funeral home.
