Obituary of John F. Dasch

John F. Dasch of Rock Hill, a retired audit clerk for Chemical Bank/JP Morgan Chase Bank in Manhattan, passed on Friday, January 30, 2009 at the Catskill Regional Medical Center in Harris. He was 82. He long suffered with Parkinson's and we are blessed that he is now reunited with his beloved Josephine who predeceased him in 1994.The son of the late John Dasch and Sabina Keiling Dasch, he was born June 3, 1926 in Brooklyn. A veteran of the United States Army serving in World War II, John was a member of St. Peter's Church in Monticello, serving with the Knights of Columbus.Our loving Uncle John is survived by sister-in-laws, nephews, nieces and dearest friends. We celebrate his sweetness, kindness and humor. We were honored by his loving smile and sparkling blue eyes that graced our lives. We celebrate that his life enhanced our own lives. We will all keep him close to our hearts remembering him and his wonderful wife, our Aunt Jo. Blessed that you are now at peace and holding your beloved hands once again. Visitation will be on Saturday, February 7 from 10 - 12:30pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello. His funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday afternoon at 1:00 at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Broadway & Liberty Street in Monticello with Fr. John Tran officiating.
