Obituary of Eileen Catherine Boswell

Eileen Catherine Boswell of Wurtsboro, a retired Assistant to the Assessor for the Town of Mamakating, died Monday, January 5, 2009 at the Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla. She was 69.The daughter of the late Nelson P. Culver and Elizabeth Hosier Culver, she was born March 14, 1939 in Middletown. She was the widow of Walter "Buddy" Boswell who predeceased her in 1989.Eileen is survived by her children: Mary Meyle & her husband Lester of Pine Bush, Lisa Reuss & her husband John of Monticello and Michael Van Keuren of Wurtsboro; four beloved grandchildren: Julie, Justin, Jessica & Stacey; and several nieces & nephews.In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a brother: Harold N. Culver; and a sister: Rita Gavry.She will be greatly missed by her children and grandchildren whom she loved so much.Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 8 from 6-9pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 111 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro. Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, January 9 at 10:00am at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro.
