Olive Soller 91, of Wurtsboro, NY, passed away at Orange Regional Medical Center on November 24, 2012 after a brief illness. The daughter of the late Joseph and Katherine McGee Miranda, she was born in Passaic, New Jersey on November 2, 1921. Predeceased by six of her eight siblings (Anne, Buddy, Walter, Doris, Alice, and Marie ), she was also predeceased by her son Robert George Soller of Old Town, Florida. She is survived by one sister, Josephine MacDonald of Wayne, New Jersey and one brother, Ralph Miranda of Pleasant Mount, Pennsylvania. Olive met and married George Soller in 1943, and shortly thereafter, they moved to Wurtsboro, NY to live and raise their family. She was a stay-at-home mom whose life was centered around her home. A quiet and unassuming woman, she was happiest when surrounded by her family. Nothing made her happier than being with her children and listening to country music. In 1995, after fifty-two years of marriage, her husband passed away and she went to live with her daughter Barbara Duffy in Monticello, NY. Her gentle ways and unassuming manner made her a favorite of many. Left to cherish her memory are her four children and their spouses: Joseph & Nicki Soller of Monticello, NY, William & Theresa Soller of Pigeon Forge, TN , Larry & Ginny Chambers of Newnan, GA, and Michael & Barbara Duffy of Monticello, NY. Her Grandchildren, Jennifer Danino of Brooklyn, NY, Christian Soller of Albany NY, Brian Soller of Monticello, NY, Thomas Swierski of Georgia, Robert and Scott Swierski of North Carolina, Gina Soller of California, Melissa Soller, Bill Soller Jr, Joshua Soller and Christopher Soller all of Tenn. She will be deeply missed by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren, as well as her many nieces and nephews. She was laid to rest next to her husband in the Bloomingburg Rural Cemetery on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 where a private service was held with family and friends. Donations in her memory can be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 www.stjude.org Arrangements are under the direction of the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc.
