James F. Elliott of Bloomingburg, a retired sales supervisor for Consolidated Laundries in Middletown, died Friday, December 12, 2008 at the ORMC-Horton Campus in Middletown. He was 73 The son of the late Albert P. Elliott, Sr. and Helen Vandermark Elliott, he was born December 11, 1935 in Middletown. He was the widow of Helen Mae Sullivan Elliott who predeceased him on December 31, 2006. He is survived by two daughters: Debra Johnson (whom he lived with) & her husband James and Rosemary J. Joy and her husband Richmond, all of Bloomingburg; six grandchildren: Gary B. Mann Jr. (Danielle), Diana Johnson, Richmond R. Joy Jr. (Jennifer), James J. Joy (Jeanine), William E. Joy and Jesse R. Joy; six great grandchildren: Isabelle Mae Mann, Tyler Joy, Alyssa Joy, Adrianna Joy, Jacob Joy and Liam Kutzuk Joy; two brothers: Albert Elliott Jr. and Richard Elliott; two sisters: Margaret Kanoff and Anna Spath; and several nieces & nephews. In addition to his parents and his wife, he was predeceased by two sisters: Marie Clouse & Irene Stephens. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 16 from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 111 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro. His funeral service will be held on Tuesday evening at 8:30 at the funeral home with Rev. Robert Hewitt officiating. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Orange & Sullivan Counties, 800 Stony Brook Court, Newburgh, NY 12550 or to the charity of one's choice.
