Ruth F. Solman, a retired Executive secretary for Human Resources and Abilities in Alberson, LI, died at Orange Regional Medical Center, Horton Campus on October 20, 2008. She was 84.
She was the daughter of the late William and Frances Switzer Planding, she was born September 15, 1924 in Brooklyn, NY. She was the widow of Henry F. Solman. Ruth was a friend of Bill W. for 28 years.
In a family statement Ruth was said to be the Best Mom you could ever ask for.
She is survived by her beloved daughter: Christine Solman, of Wurtsboro a Son: Martin Solman, of Patchogue, NY and her Fianc: Thomas Yesulitis, of Wurtsboro.
She was predeceased by two sisters: Helen Schoner and Alice Miller.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday, October 24, 2008 at 9:30 am at St. Josephs Church, Sullivan Street, Wurtsboro with Fr. Peter Madori officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Josephs Cemetery in Wurtsboro.
