Eddie Deutsch, a retired school bus driver for the Monticello Central School District and lifelong resident of the area, died Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at the Catskill Regional Medical Center in Harris. He was 86. The son of the late Sam Deutsch and Bella Schoenbrun Deutsch, he was born September 10, 1922 in Monticello. He was the widow of Helen Honey Deutsch. Known as Eddie Spaghetti or Uncle Ed to all who knew him, he was also a member of the Monticello Elks Lodge #1544. He is survived by a sister: Sally Grosberg of Hurleyville; several nieces, & nephews; and many area friends. A brief funeral service for the family will be held on Thursday, September 25 at 10:00am at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello. Public graveside services and burial will follow at 10:30am at St. Peters Cemetery, Rock Ridge Avenue in Monticello. Memorial contributions can be made to the BPOE Elks Lodge #1544, P.O.
