Odell Whitaker Jr. was called home on September 2, 2008. He was 44 years old.
Odell was a lifelong resident of Ellenville NY. Born on June 16th, 1964 in Ellenville NY, he is the son of the late Odell Whitaker Sr. and Lillie Mae Whitaker. He is a graduate of Ellenville High School.
He is survived by his lifelong companion Barbara Alloway of Ellenville; his sisters: Mae Holland, Bessie Mae Norman, & Jeanette Whitaker, all of Monticello, NY and Flora Mae Caldwell of Atlanta, GA; his brothers: Lewis Whitaker of Monticello NY; and Thomas Whitaker and Frank Lee Peterson of Ellenville, NY. Odell Jr. also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
He was predeceased by two brothers Edward Whitaker Sr. and Glen Whitaker; and a sister: Patricia Whitaker.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 8 from 11:00am to 1:00pm at the New Testament Church of Jesus Christ, 39 Clinton Avenue in Ellenville. His funeral service will begin at 1:00pm at the church with Rev. Raymond Younger officiating. Burial will follow in the Fantinekill Cemetery in Ellenville.
