Obituary of Genevieve M. Case

Genevieve M. Case, "Bee", a retired instructor for Verizon where she worked for 45 years, died Wednesday, July 30, 2008 at her home in Delmar. She was 88. The daughter of the late Stephen J. Murran Sr. and Jennie Felter Murran, she was born September 13, 1919 in Monticello. Bee was a member of St. Thomas Roman Catholic Church in Delmar and the Telephone Pioneers of America. She was the widow of Blake M. Case, who predeceased her on August 31, 1978. She is survived by a sister: Harriet Pirich of Monticello; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by three sisters: Kathryn Case, Julia Voelkers & Helen "Honey" Deutsch; and three brothers: Stephen Murran Jr., John Murran & Charles Murran. Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 3 from 4:00 to 7:00pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, August 4 at 10:00am at St. Peters Church, Broadway and Liberty Street in Monticello. Burial will follow at the St. Peters Cemetery in Monticello. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to the charity of ones choice.
