Paul F. Lawton, 68, of Rock Hill, NY, died Tuesday, July 1, 2008.Paul graduated from the High School in Philadelphia, NY. After graduating he proudly served in the Air Force and eventually went to work for Pratt and Whitney in Connecticut, Temescal in California, then joined Chromalloy, NY in 1976 where he worked for the next 30 years in many Senior Leadership positions before retiring in 2005. After retirement he immediately went back to work for Chromalloy as a consultant for the next two years. He also served on the Board of Directors of ACT in Middletown NY. Paul and colleague Yourong Liu were instrumental in the development of several patents.He is survived by his wife, Patricia; daughter, Kristine; and sons, Michael and Matthew; daughter-in-law, Susan; four grandsons; including a grandbaby due in October; a sister, nieces and nephews.The service will be held at the Rock Hill Methodist Church on Thursday, July 3, at 8:30 a.m. Paul will be laid to rest at the Rye Central Cemetery in Rye, New Hampshire following the service.In lieu of flowers, donations in the memory of Paul Lawton may be sent to the Kaplan Family Hospice Residence, 1 Sunrise Lane, Newburgh, NY 12550.Arrangments by VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc.
