Concetta "Tina" Patalona of Kauneonga Lake, a retired neonatal nurse, died Saturday, April 12, 2008 at her sons home in Cochecton. She was 88. The daughter of the late Ciro Petriccione and Gilda Esposito Petriccione, she was born May 18, 1919 in Naples, Italy. Tina was a war bride. She met her husband, an American soldier stationed in Naples, Italy, during World War II. She was a member of St. Peters Church in Monticello and the Bethel Senior Citizens. She is survived by two sons: Ronald A. Patalona & his wife Maura of Middlesex, NJ and Albert J. Patalona & his wife Karen of Cochecton; a daughter: Frances K. Washington & her husband Joseph of Mongaup Valley; a sister: Elvira Gentile of Naples, Italy; nine grandchildren: Thomas Klemmer, Melissa Patalona, Matthew Patalona, Andrew Hoffman Patalona, Beth Hoffman Patalona, Samantha Fuller, Stephen McCarthy, Zachary McCarthy & Ryan McCarthy; and five great grandchildren: Jacob, Suzie, Jonathan, Allyissa & Brianna. She was predeceased by her husband: A. Thomas Patalona; two brothers: Mario Petriccione & Renato Petriccione; and by her longtime companion: Charles Solowitz. Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 15 from 4:00 to 7:00pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello. A prayer service will conclude the visitation Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Private burial will be held on Wednesday at the Long Island National Cemetery in Farmingdale.
