Obituary of Ruth Charlotte Brown

Ruth Charlotte Brown a retired secretary for Pascack Valley Hospital in Westwood, NJ, died Saturday, April 5, 2008 at the Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown. She was 94. The daughter of the late Paul Louis Haerdtner and Charlotte Louise Severin Haerdtner, she was born September 20, 1913 in the Bronx. Ruth was a member of the Community Church of Wurtsboro. She is survived by a daughter: Karen Louise Hackett of Wurtsboro; seven grandchildren: Kristine Lanzer & her husband Charles, Laurie Hackett & her fianc Rino Maddalena, Brian Hackett, Kristin Hackett, Jaimie Hackett, Kevin Hackett and Paul Gordon; three great grandchildren: Erin Lanzer, Daniel Lanzer and Deanna Gordon; two stepdaughters: Melva Faber and Shirley Ross, both of North Carolina; and many step grandchildren and step great grandchildren. She was the widow of both Howard Dwyer and Daniel Brown; and was also predeceased by a son: James Stanley Gordon; and brother: Roland Haerdtner. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 7 from 4 to 7pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 111 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro. Her funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 8 at 10:00am at the Community Church of Wurtsboro, Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro with the Rev. Robert Meyer officiating.
