Frank "Papa" Margillo, Jr. of Monticello died Monday, March 31, 2008 after a long illness, at his home surrounded by his family. He was 68. The son of the late Francis Margillo, Sr. and Mildred Miller Margillo, he was born August 21, 1939 in Brooklyn. A retired auto mechanic, Frank was a loving husband and father who will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 48 years: Jeanette F. Lyons Margillo, at home; six children: Lois Margillo of Roscoe, Jeanette K. Margillo & her companion Shane Drury of Monticello, Maria Margillo & her companion John Snowden of Monticello, Tommy Margillo & his companion Isamar Lebron of Puerto Rico, France Margillo & her fianc Patrick LaRusso, Jr. of Glen Wild, Carolanne Margillo & her companion Kerwyn Young of Harris; his other "daughter" and sister-in-law: Georgette Kirschenbaum of Monticello; 20 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; two brothers: Andrew Margillo of Monroe and William Margillo of the state of Florida; three sisters: Mildred "Sissy" Margillo of Brooklyn, Carol Parazeli of New Jersey and Genevieve "Chicky" Esposito of Long Island; and many nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother: John Margillo; a sister: Dolores "DooDoo" Tilton; and a granddaughter: Tiffany Carolanne Trust. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 2 from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello. His funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, April 3 at 10:00am at St. Peters Church, Broadway and Liberty Street in Monticello with Fr. John Tran officiating. Burial will follow at St. Peters Cemetery in Monticello. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Orange & Sullivan Counties, 800 Stony Brook Court, Newburgh, NY 12550.
