Rosemary Romer of Thompson Ridge died unexpectedly on Sunday, February 24, 2008 in the Town of Mamakating. She was 56. The daughter of Gertrude Dahn Caston and the late Albert Caston Sr., she was born July 4, 1951 in Gardiner. Rosemary was with the patient accounting department of the ORMC-Arden Hill Campus in Goshen. She was also a member of the Red Hatters, the Mamakating Lioness Club, the Mohonk Hiking Group and CROC. She is survived by her mother: Gertrude Caston of Gardiner; three sons: William Romer & his wife Christine of Wurtsboro, Brian Romer & his wife Lori of Bloomingburg and James Romer & his wife Cathy of Thompson Ridge; a daughter: Veronica Reed & her husband Mark of EHT, New Jersey; seven granddaughters; a brother: Albert Caston Jr. & his wife Vicky of Ellenville; a sister: Kathleen Sikorski of Pond Eddy; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her father, she was predeceased by her husband: John E. Romer; and two grandsons: Christopher and Jeremy Romer. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 29 from 4:00 to 7:00pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 111 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 1 at 10:00am at St. Josephs Church, Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro with Fr. Peter Madori officiating. Burial will be held privately at Josephs Cemetery in Wurtsboro. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to CROC (Citizens Reunited to Overcome Cancer), P.O.
