Obituary of Frances M. Davison

Frances M. Davison of Smallwood, passed away at Catskill Regional Medical Center on Friday, February 14, 2008. She was 68. Born in Oberhagen Germany to Franz and Maria Schulte, Frances grew up with her two sisters Marianna and Ingrid. At age 18 she moved to the United States and settled in Wurtsboro, NY. After working at the Monticello Hospital for a few years, she met Frederick Davison, who would become her husband of 45 years. Frances became a stay at home mom to take care of her three sons, Grant, Andrew and Robert. As a member of the White Lake Fire Companys Ladies Auxiliary, there were many late nights providing refreshments to firefighters battling fires. When the boys got older, Frances returned to the workforce as a nursing assistant and patient care technician at Catskill Regional Medical Center. She found her niche in the Emergency Room caring for people with all types of ailments. Illness forced Frances into retirement. Survivors include her husband Fred at home; her sons: Grant, stationed at McGuire AFB, Andrew of White Sulphur Springs, and Robert of Bethel; three grandchildren: Kayla, Derek and Tessa; and two sisters: Marianna of Germany and Ingrid of England. Visitation will be held on Monday, February 18 from 4-7 pm at VanInwegen- Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello. Her Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, February 19 at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Rev. David Coon officiating. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery in Bethel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimers Association, Mid-Hudson Chapter, 2 Jefferson Plaza, Suite 103, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601-4027.
