Obituary of Paul L. Reimert

Paul Lewis Reimert, Jr. of Wurtsboro, a retired truck driver for Mid-City Transport in Middletown, died Monday, January 22, 2008 at the ORMC-Horton Campus in Middletown. He was 75. The son of the late Paul L. Reimert Sr. and Catheryn Furshey Reimert, he was born May 2, 1932 in Allentown, PA. Paul was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in Korea for eight years. He was a member of the American Legion Post #1266, Mamakating, the VFW in Pennsylvania, and was a past president of the Mamakating Moose Lodge. He is survived by his wife: Sarah Johnson Reimert, at home; a daughter: Diane Reimert of Pennsylvania; a brother: Forrest Reimert & his wife Nancy of Darlington, MD; two sisters: Gloria Bamberger & her husband Carl of Red Hill, PA and Roberta Knappenberger & her husband Arthur of Ryan la Eigin, SC; and three grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 25 from 9:00 to 11:00am at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 111 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro. His funeral service will follow at 11:00am at the funeral home with the Rev. Robert Pinto officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at the Poplar Grove Cemetery in Phillipsport.
