Raymond A. Raynor "Poppy" of Monticello, NY passed away on Thursday, November 1, 2012 in Harris, NY. He was 72. Poppy was born on November 6, 1939 in Long Island, NY. He died just 5 days shy of his 73rd birthday. He was a member of the Monticello Seniors. Poppy loved many things; music, singing, dancing, gambling, gardening, watching old & western movies and playing Santa at Christmas time. Poppy was a huge flirt and loved the ladies. Most of all he loved and lived for his grandchildren and great grandsons. He is survived by his two sons: Clinton Raynor and his wife, Dawn of Bloomingburg and Brian Call and his wife, Carleen of Monticello. His two daughters: Pam Barhight of Monticello and Vicki Aurich and her husband, Marcus of Monticello. He leaves behind eight grandsons, seven granddaughters and two great grandsons. He was predeceased by his son, Raymond Douglas and his wife, Louraine Call. Flowers may be sent to the funeral home or a contribution can be made in his name to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 628, Monticello, NY 12701. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 5, 2012 from 5:30-8:30pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny Funeral Home, 401 Broadway, Monticello, NY. His funeral service will be at 8:30pm at the funeral home. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the VanInwegen-Kenny Funeral Home of Monticello. www.kennyfuneralhome.com
