Obituary of Louise Marie Gregory

Louise Marie Gregory, a retired cafeteria worker for the Monticello Central Schools, died Saturday, December 15, 2007 at the Bon Secours Community Hospital in Port Jervis after a long illness. She was 83. The daughter of the late George W. Kinne and Ella C. Peters Kinne, she was born January 31, 1924 in Monticello. She was the widow of Edward H. Gregory, Sr. who predeceased her on January 20, 1999. Louise was a member of the First Church of Monticello, Presbyterian and the Monticello Exempt Firemens Auxiliary. Our mom was a wonderful person who loved children and her job at the school gave her a chance to be with them everyday. We have talked to people over the years and they still remember her because of her smile and kind words to them. She is survived by her two sons: Edward H. Gregory, Jr. & his wife Gloria of North Weymouth, Mass. and David Gregory & his wife Linda of Monticello; a brother: George W. Kinne, Jr. & his wife Betty of Lawrenceburg, KY; and several nieces & nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by two sisters and best friends: Caroline "Dolly" Kelley and Aimee Klecka. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 18 from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello. Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 19 at 11:00am at the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Robert McLeod officiating. Burial will follow at the Rock Ridge Cemetery in Monticello.
