Obituary of Bruce R. Moore

Bruce Richard Moore of Wolf Lake, a retired lineman for Orange and Rockland Utilities in Middletown, died Thursday, November 29, 2007 at the ORMC Arden Hill campus in Goshen. He was 70. The son of the late Clarence Moore and Sara Jenkins Moore, he was born July 9, 1937 in Middletown. A former scoutmaster in the area, Bruce was a member of the Community Church of Wurtsboro; a Past-President of the Middletown Pistol and Rifle Club; a former Vice-President of Land and Lakes for the Wolf Lake Association; was active in the IBEW Union; and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He is survived by his wife of 47 years: Sally M. Reutzel Moore, at home; three sons: Henry Moore & his wife Cherie of Woodbourne, Paul Moore of Pine Bush and Peter Moore & his wife Jennifer of Westbrookville; a daughter: Kim Fulton & her husband David of Kenoza Lake; 11 grandchildren: Joshua, Sarah, Matthew, Andrew, Christopher, Jessie, Emily, Jason, Kristina, David & Matt; a great granddaughter: Amber; two sisters: Karen Handford & her husband Edward of Wurtsboro and Donna Elia of Middletown; two sisters-in-law: Fay Roberts & her husband William and Jill Gillen & her husband Clinton, all of Middletown; and several nieces & nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers: Starr Moore and Wayne Moore. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 2 from 2:00 to 5:00pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 111 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro. His funeral service will be held on Monday, December 3 at 11:00am at the funeral home with Rev. Scott Ramsey officiating.
