Monticello, NY Nunzio Tufano of Monticello, a former co-owner of Tufano Sand & Gravel in Mongaup Valley, died Wednesday, October 31, 2007 at the Catskill Regional Medical Center in Harris. He was 87.
The son of the late James Tufano and Mamie Geniti Tufano, he was born November 10, 1919 in Ozone Park, NY.
He was a member of St. Peters Church in Monticello.
He is survived by a brother: Sam Tufano of New Hyde Park; and many nieces & nephews including Peter and Paul Tufano, formerly of Monticello.
He was predeceased by his wife: Grace M. Tufano; two brothers: James and Joseph Tufano; and a sister: Concetta Bruno.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 2 from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello. His funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, November 3 at St. Peters Church, Broadway & Liberty Street in Monticello. Fr. John Tran will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Peters Cemetery in Monticello.
