Obituary of John F. Bruning

John F. Bruning of Wurtsboro Hills died Tuesday, September 11, 2007 at his home. He was 55.
The son of the late Christian Bruning and Annie Lybolt Bruning, he was born December 6, 1951 in Middletown.
A veteran of the United States Army Reserves, John was a founder and former president of the Sullivan County Archers Assoc.; a member of the New York State Bow Hunters Assoc, the Sullivan County Conservation Club and the Rock Hill Church of the Nazarene.
He is survived by his wife: Connie Bruning, at home; his mother: Annie Bruning of Sun City Center, FL; three sons: John Bruning & his fiance Kathy Lapointe of Middletown, Dustin Bruning of San Diego, CA and Daniel Bruning of Wurtsboro; a daughter: Cambridge Deegan & her husband Colby of Pine Bush; two brothers: Thomas Bruning of Glen Spey and Christian Bruning of Sun City Center, FL; three sisters: Cheryl Bertholf of Apollo Beach, FL, Lyn Tyler of Highland Lake and Victoria Tawney of Riverview, FL; two granddaughters: Ashlyn & Aryana; and several nieces, nephews and friends including his other brothers: Jimmy, Elmo, Ed & Richie.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 14 from 2:00 to 4:00pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 111 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro. His funeral service will follow at 4:00pm at the funeral home. Rev. Roy Shaffer will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions made to the family would be appreciated.
