Obituary of Doris Joan Booth

Doris Joan Booth of Thompsonville, NY passed away on May 17, 2012 at Catskill Regional Medical Center. She was 74. The daughter of the late Kennenth Surerus & Margaret Schlier Surerus, she was born July 11, 1937 in Brooklyn, NY. Doris was a lover of all animals, but especially birds. She was a member of the Catskill Exotic Bird Club and greatly enjoyed being outdoors with nature and rehabilitating birds or animals in need. She was also very multi-talented and crafty as her family and friends can attest to. She is survived by her husband, Robert L. Booth at home; one son, Robert L. Booth Jr. and his wife, Deirdre of New Hampton; a daughter Donna Bilyeu and her husband, Timothy of Napanoch; a brother, Kenneth Surerus Jr. and his wife, Carol of Rock Hill; her three grandchildren: Alexander Booth, Zachary & Ryan Bilyeu; and several nieces and nephews. Friends and family are invited to gather on Sunday, August 5, 2012 from 1-2pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 111 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro. Her memorial service will take place at 2pm at the funeral home. Rev. Johanna Andritz will officiate.
