Obituary of Fred E. Reiman

Fred Reiman, a former salesman for the Erickson Oldsmobile Inc, in Monsey, and a longtime resident of the area, died Thursday, July 5, 2007 at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla. He was 83. The son of the late Frank and Ethel Riker Reiman, Fred was born in New Windsor on June 27, 1924. A proud veteran of the United States Army, he served in WWII as a paratrooper. Fred was an avid woodcutter in his spare time. He is survived by his beloved wife of 25 years, Barbara Cannata Reiman, at home; his son Richard Reiman of Lantana, Fl; his daughter Jill Storr & her husband Randy, of Independence, MO; his sisters, Dolores Asaro of Central Nyack, and Bea Lentz, of Spring Hill, FL; a sister-in-law, Norma Reiman, of Central Nyack; 3 grandchildren, Melissa, Jeremy, and Adam; 2 great grandchildren, Noah and Aiden; as well as several nieces, nephews, in-laws, and dear friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother: Frank Reiman. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 8, 2007 at the VanInwegen-Kenny Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello from 11am-1pm. A memorial service will follow at 1:00pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Freds name can be made to your local veterans organization. Arrangements are under the direction of the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc.
