Obituary of Madeline Agnes O'Connor

Madeline Agnes O'Connor (Maddy) of Monticello, a retired salesperson for Combined Life Insurance Co. and former resident of Smallwood, died Monday, July 2, 2007 at the Catskill Regional Medical Center in Harris. She was 63. The daughter of the late Raymond Messina and Agnes Deegan Messina, she was born January 28, 1944 in the Bronx. Mrs. O'Connor was a member of St. Peter's Church in Monticello. Survivors include a son: Thomas O'Connor & his wife Dina of Monticello; a daughter: Catherine Perez & her husband Charles of Middletown; a nephew: Raymond Messina & his wife Christina of Hartsdale; three nieces; a brother: Raymond Messina of New Orleans, LA; and six grandchildren: Blaise Perez, Thomas O'Connor, Jami Welch, Taylor Welch-O'Connor, Tau Perez and Athena Perez-Keith. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 5 from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello. Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, July 6 at 10:00am at St. Peter's Church, Broadway and Liberty Street in Monticello. Fr. John Tran will officiate. Memorial contributions can be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Upstate New York Chapter, 6 Automation Lane, Albany, NY 12205.
