William T. Sonnie Wright of Monticello, passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2007 at the Achieve Rehab & Nursing Facility in Liberty after a long illness. Sonnie was a longtime resident of South Fallsburg and Monticello and was a member of the Kings Chapel Mission in Monticello. The son of the late Charles Wright and Anna Bell Thomas Wright, he was born August 10, 1932 in Surry, VA. He is survived by two sisters: Mattie Wright and Shirley Smith, both of Monticello; a niece: Carmen Bickham; and two nephews: Dontez and Dean Morrison. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 25 from 10:00am to 11:00am at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello. His funeral service will begin at 11:00am Friday morning at the funeral home. Bishop Leon Williams will officiate. Burial will follow in the Rock Ridge Cemetery in Monticello. Memorial contributions can be made to the Kings Chapel Mission, Spring Street, Monticello, NY 12701. Arrangements are under the direction of VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home of Monticello.
