Obituary of James L. Trebilcock

James L. Trebilcock Jr. passed away Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at his home in Wurtsboro. He was 67. The son of the late James L. Trebilcock Sr. and Mary Maerk Trebilcock, he was born April 18, 1946 in Augusta, GA. Jim served in the United States Navy for six years and after his discharge, worked as an outside salesman for hardware and maintenance supplies for different suppliers. He has been a resident of Wurtsboro since 1972. Survivors include his ex-wife: Marie of Wurtsboro; a daughter: Sandra Tica & her husband David of Croton Falls, NY; three sons: David Trebilcock and his wife Jane of Healdsburg, CA, Jack Trebilcock of Wurtsboro and James B.. Trebilcock & his wife Ayisha of Brooklyn. He also leaves ten grandchildren who loved their Grandpa very much: Luba, Eli and Isadora Tica, and Kevin, Peter, Grace, Maggie, Andrew, Nathaniel and Sofia Trebilcock. His grieving family also includes two sisters: Mary Anne Hamilton & her husband Roger of St. Johnsbury, VT and Barbara Handy & her husband Metsy of Detroit, MI; a brother: Frank Trebilcock of St. Johnsbury, VT; and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to gather on Friday, January 31 from 5-8pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 111 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro. His funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, February 1 at 11am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 180 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro with Fr. Peter Madori officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Wurtsboro.
