Georgette Julia Greene of Monticello, a retired chief accountant for the National Urban League in New York City, died Monday, October 8, 2012 at the Achieve Rehab & Nursing Facility in Liberty. She was 87.
The daughter of the late Wesley Dailey and Muriel Smith Dailey, she was born February 22, 1925 in New York City.
She is survived by her husband, Conway E. Greene, at home; a son, Ronnie Greene of Monticello; a daughter, Sharon Greene of Reston, VA; and two sisters, Grace Lucas and Eloise Greene, both of Monticello.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Friday, October 12 from 9 to 11 a.m. at the VanInwegen-Kenny Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello. Her funeral service will then be held at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
