Theresa Verdi Kenney of Monticello died Sunday, January 19, 2014 at the Catskill Regional Medical Center in Harris. She was 94. The daughter of the late Luigi Verdi and Maria Catrinella Verdi, she was born August 11, 1919 in Brooklyn. She was predeceased by her seven siblings: Louise Verdi Collins, Vincent James Verdi, Vito Verdi, Joseph Verdi, Anne Kenney, Marion Sardonia and Sylvia Morman; and is survived by several nieces and nephews. Family & friends are invited to gather on Thursday, January 23 from 9-11am at the VanInwegen-Kenny Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello. Her funeral service will begin at 11am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery in Monticello. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Sullivan Co. SPCA, P.O. Box 995, Rock Hill, NY 12775. Arrangements are under the direction of the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home of Monticello.
