Virginia M. Chambers Yacenda of Mountaindale, the owner/operator of the Coffee Warehouse in Mountaindale, died Tuesday, December 24, 2013 at the Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown after a long illness. She was 64. The daughter of the late Thomas Chambers and Catherine Norberg Chambers, she was born July 14, 1949 in Mount Vernon, NY. Virginia was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Wurtsboro where she was a Eucharistic Minister and served on the Finance Committee. She was also a writer , having published many short stories and articles. She is survived by her husband: Andrew C. Yacenda, at home; a brother: Thomas Chambers of Brooklyn; two stepdaughters: Lynda Scocozza & her husband Fred of Chester and Donna Hartsell & her husband Derek of Woodbourne; a stepson: Steven Yacenda & his wife Julie of Wilmington, NC; five grandchildren: Salvatore, Joseph, Nathan, Samuel and Stella Anna; and a nephew Alan. Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 31 at 10am at St. Joseph's Church, 180 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro with Fr. Peter Madori officiating. Interment of her ashes will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Wurtsboro.
