Ronald J. Durr of Brodheadsville, PA (formerly of Monroe, NY), a retired computer analyst for AT&T, died Friday, September 21, 2012 at the VNA Hospice House in East Stroudsburg, PA. He was 81. The son of the late John and Martha Raiser Durr, he was born June 23, 1931 in Brooklyn, NY. A veteran of the Korean War in the United States Air Force, stationed in Albuquerque New Mexico at Kirtland AFB , he serviced his time in the Atomic Test Group. He was a member of the American Legion Post #448 in Monroe, and Harrisburg, Pa post # 0945, also a lifelong member of the National Rifle Association. He is survived by his wife: Jacqueline M. Seaton Durr, at home; three sons: Mitchell Durr & his wife Melissa of Bloomingburg, Douglas Durr & his wife Christine of Apex, NC and James Durr of Shohola, PA; and six grandchildren: Christopher and wife Lauren , Jeremy and partener Cindy, Eamonn, Audrey, Morgan and Lauren. Family and friends are invited to gather on Monday, September 24 from 4-6pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 111 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro. Graveside services and burial with military honors will be held on Tuesday, September 25 at 10am at the Bloomingburg Rural Cemetery, Old Route 17 in Bloomingburg.
