Obituary of Catherine (Hall) McGlynn

Catherine (Hall) McGlynn of Monticello, a retired office worker for Schmidt's Wholesale in Monticello, died peacefully on Friday November 29, 2013 at the Sullivan County Adult Care Center in Liberty. She was 80 years old. The daughter of the late John McGlynn and Agnes Weirich McGlynn, she was born September 20, 1933 in Carbondale, PA. Catherine was a member of St. Peter's Church, Monticello, the Monticello Senior Citizens, RSVP, a Primetimer, a volunteer at Catskill Regional Medical Center in Harris, and was a charter member of the Monticello Volunteer Ambulance Corps. She is survived by three daughters: Sandy, Cindy and Cathy (Coxe) McGlynn; daughters-in-law - Karen, Donna and Anna; two sons: Sam Coxe and Jeffrey Cox, six grandchildren: Joshua, Nick, Danny, Kristin, Jeffery and Sarah; 7 great grandchildren - Ryan, Jason, Kylie, Nate, Tyler, Cade, Connor; two sisters: Carol Ann Kaloney and Geri Ambrogio; and one brother Jimmy McGlynn; several nieces and nephews and their families including Joe Ambrogio, Tom & Toni Ambrogio, and Kevin and Lauren Ambrogio; and life-long friend Andrea Goldberg. She is predeceased by siblings Joseph McGlynn and Margie Beck. Family and friends are invited to gather on Sunday December 1, 2013 from 4-7pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny Inc. Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello. Her funeral service will begin at approximately 6pm at the funeral home.
