Obituary of Leroy Durham McLeod

Leroy Durham McLeod was born on July 24, 1937 to the late Lawrence and Elfreda McLeod in the Republic of Trinidad &Tobago. On Monday, November 18, 2013 Leroy was dispatched home to rest with our heavenly Father. Leroy received his elementary & secondary education while living in Trinidad. He then came to United States as a student studying draftsmanship. While in the USA Leroy met and married Lois Wilkins (who preceded him in death) out of this union two children were born Jeffrey & Stacey McLeod. Leroy was always known as a fun guy to be around. He always loved to have a good time. Leroy enjoyed traveling, thus over the years he became an explorer, traveling extensively. Early in 2009 he began attending & joined Monticello Seventh-Day Adventist Church where he gave his life to Christ. Leroy leaves to cherish his memories one son Jeffrey McLeod (NY), one daughter: Stacey McLeod (MD); one step-Daughter: Min. Robin Wilkins (NY); three granddaughters: Zuri McLeod, Ki me McLeod Mc Elroy, & Imani McLeod; one half-sister: Maureen, (Trinidad); several nieces and nephews, and a host of family members, loved ones and friends. Family and friends are invited to gather on Monday, November 25 from 11am to 12 noon at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 26 Liberty Street in Monticello with a service beginning at 12:00 noon. Burial will follow at Rock Ridge Cemetery in Monticello. Arrangements are under the direction of the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home of Monticello.
