Janet K. Miller of Wurtsboro, a retired Registered Nurse with the Keller Army Hospital at West Point, passed peacefully surrounded by loving family on Thursday, November 14, 2013 at the Montgomery Nursing Home in Montgomery, NY. She was 88.
The daughter of the late William Yuill and Gertrude Torborg Yuill, she was born July 22, 1925 in Staten Island. She was the widow of Glenn M. Miller.
Janet was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter #75, Staten Island, NY and Mt. Zion Methodist Church, Sandy Springs, SC.
She is survived by a daughter: Janet Boyce & her husband Donald of Yankee Lake; two sons: Glenn Miller & his wife Jackie of Anderson, SC and William Miller & his wife Penne of Greenwood, SC; four grandchildren: Donald III, Jenna, Stephen and Holly; and three nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her three sisters: Evelyn, Margaret, Gertrude; and niece Elizabeth.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Also, the family would like to extend a very heartfelt thank you to the staff from both Orange Regional Medical Center and Montgomery Nursing Home for their exceptional care and compassion.
