Jim was a cornerstone in the foundation of The Federation for the Homeless. His steady hand helped guide the services of the agency for decades. He was a smart and gentle man with a quick wit. Jim was such a pleasure to work with- he never lost sight of the goals of the Federation- to provide as much help as possible to those in need. We have indeed lost a good man. It’s a sad day. My sympathies to his family.

Jim was one of the first people I met in the Office for the Aging network when I started as Director in Schuyler County back in 2006. I remember his quick smile, sense of humor and gentle demeanor. I sincerely appreciate the guidance he provided and all the great work he accomplished along the way. My deepest sympathy to his family. I wish you many warm, precious memories.

Reading all the benefits you were involved with seems only the beginning of what an incredible man you are. The biggest heart. The warmest smile. And the most contagious laugh. You and my sister were my safety net in a troubled life. You showed me kindness, compassion and love in away that shaped who I am today. Thank you. What great fun we had on the farm; waiting for your cousins to arrive, building the biggest camp fires ever, your carefree dogs, Baileys lake, What a blast! A world traveled. An adventure at every turn, but the times spent at holidays together were the best. You loved us so much and we knew you it! The best dancer ever! You couldn’t wait for Sandy to change her shoes so you could get out on the dance floor. You were unstoppable and danced every dance. Thank you for loving my children. I know you adored them as your own. I am and they are forever grateful for our times together as little ones and now as adults. Your mom, Aunt’s and Uncle’s, Ken Bailey, Nancy Lyttle and cousins, enriched their lives as they had mine. It’s so very hard to believe you’ve passed .. but so easy to believe Heaven is rejoicing at your coming. May perpetual light shine upon you Jimmy. I love you and will miss your tender heart. I love the picture you picked out. It’s so perfectly you.
