Obituary of Patricia E. Hall
Please share a memory of Patricia to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Patricia Estelle Hall was the 7th child of Rochester Hall Sr. and Florence Louise Hall. She was born on November 28, 1959, in Newark, N.J.
As a young child, Patricia attended Avon Avenue School and South Eighth Street School in Newark, New Jersey. Patricia also attended Monticello Middle School and Monticello High School, in Monticello, New York. After high school, she spent two years studying business administration and graphic arts at Orange County Community College.
Patricia was someone who enjoyed living life to the fullest. She also had a very caring heart and enjoyed being with people. The things she enjoyed most included roller skating, swimming, dancing, sports, word games, puzzles, food channels, cooking, and board games, such as Scrabble, at which she was very competitive! Patricia had a love of driving. She enjoyed visiting her daughter in Atlanta and visiting her sister in Bermuda on holiday! Patricia enjoyed good food. And, if the meal was good, she would often remark, "That cook knew how to throw down!"
Patricia worked at a freight company for many years. She was as capable of handling the work as her colleagues around her, who were mostly males. She returned to Christian Science nursing, which she had previously began after her studies at the Community College and spent the remainder of her years in this profession caring and providing for those in need. She worked at the Christian Science Nursing Facility, High Ridge House, in Riverdale New York, Ten Acre Foundation, in Princeton, New Jersey, and Lynn House, in Alexandria, Virginia. She enjoyed working with older patients and would talk about the special moments in conversation with them. These moments meant a great deal to Patricia.
Patricia is survived by her daughter: Courtny L. Boston & her husband Kevin Boston, of Lawrenceville, GA; grandchildren, Kaylah Boston and Kevin Elisha Boston III; three brothers, Rochester Hall Jr. of Riverdale, the Bronx, NY, Paris R. Hall Sr. & his wife Hollie of Wurtsboro, NY, and Michael Hall of Stamford, CT; two sisters: Martha Dismont of Pembroke, Bermuda, and Marsha L. Hall of Brunswick, Maine; niece: Aruna Dismont of Pembroke, Bermuda; nephews: Paris R. Hall Jr., his wife Abigail, & daughters Zahra and Emery of Ossining, NY; Keenan Hall & his wife Lauren of Scotchtown, NY. Aunts: Anna Butler, Orange NJ, Pearl Hall, Newark, NJ, and numerous cousins and close friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister: Cynthia; and a brother, Nelson.
