Bruce Florence December 31, 1938 - July 8, 2019 Monticello, NY Bruce Florence, a longtime resident of Monticello, passed away on Monday, July 8, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. He was 80. Bruce was born in Brooklyn on December 31, 1938 to Albert and Emily Florence. Bruce was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He will always be remembered for his quick-witted humor, doing things the right way the first time and will be sadly missed. He is survived by his wife: Deborah of Monticello; his son: Shawn Connolly (Keishla); a daughter Jennifer Somers and husband Glenn: Stepdaughter Leslie Bernardini (Chris); seven grandchildren: Lindsay, Chloe, Carson, Adisyn, Nayeli, Logan and Shawn, Jr.; his Old Homestead Family and dear close friends Tom and Terry Bowes. In addition to his parents, Bruce was predeceased by his sister: Jackie Nillson: A Celebration of Life will be held privately and at the convenience of his family at a later date. Bruce's family would like to thank the Doctors and Nurses for all their support during this difficult time.
